Looking ahead

Image
The end of 2022 is drawing close. I look back in amazement at the last 12 months and stand amazed at everything that God has brought me to and through. Truly this year is one that I will never forget. This year I had the opportunity to teach and learned to love it. I graduated Bible college, I became a missionary and I started deputation. This year has brought many changes, and many opportunities for growth. I can see how the Lord has stretched me and taught me many needed lessons.  Looking forward to next year, I am so excited to continue deputation. I am still loving traveling the country and meeting new people all the time. I am anticipating starting 2023 at around 20-25% support. I am waiting to see how much of my promised support comes in. What an exciting time! My schedule for early next year is already filling up quickly, I will have the opportunity to go down to Brazil and then over to the DR in March, I am looking forward to taking a break then.  I know that sev...

Someplace warm and sunny

I arrived in Florida today!  I am so excited to be in the sunshine state for the next few weeks. I have never been a fan of being cold and planned on spending as much of this winter down south as possible. I had the opportunity to spend Thanksgiving in Georgia with some friends, but will be able to go home to my parents house for Christmas.  I want to thank everyone who has kept me (and Ray) in their prayers. I am feeling much better since my accident and Ray is running like a champ. I have been extremely busy these last few weeks but it is all starting to pay off as I see support start coming in. I am at 14% right now, but have several churches that have let me know that they will start supporting me in the coming year. God has been so good in keeping my schedule booked and in sending me prayer and financial supporters. I could not be more excited about this work He is doing! Thanks for keeping up! Beca (and Ray)

Our Providential God or Rays story

November 21      A date that will live in my mind forever, It is the day my life changed. The day of my car accident. It has been a year since that day and I can see how, in so many ways, I am better for it.       I was going back to school from work at around 8pm. I was so tired and was ready to get home and sleep. Even now, I look back and am not sure how it happened, I was coming up to a stoplight and was slowing down, and I think I feel asleep in just a second because the next thing I knew, I had run into the back of the car in front of me. I dont remember hearing the crash, I dont remember panicking, I just remember the chaos that would ensue. Ray (my car) was not drivable. I had to have him towed from the accident scene. Because I was in college and was broke, I had to put his repairs on credit since I couldn’t afford it.       When I got Ray back from the shop, I started the drive back to MD immediately. The semester was over...

Whats new?

Hello!  Holiday season is upon us and I am so excited for this year. This is my first Christmas as an aunt and I am excited to spoil my little niece!  I am currently in MD until this coming Monday and then I will be hitting the road full time again until Christmas Eve. I will be in GA, TN and FL for the rest of the year before making my way back up to MD for the holidays. I am so glad to be going south as winter seems to be coming in faster than I anticipated and cold is really not my favorite. I'll enjoy some warmth a little longer.  I have been able to be on the east coast for a few weeks now, and spend some time with family while I was at some meetings here. It has been so nice to slow down and get some rest, especially since I know I am getting ready to be crazy busy again.   I reached 14% support this month! God has been so good, I did not anticipate my support coming in so quickly but Praise the Lord! It has been so exciting to watch God move and wor...

Fully Trusting

What does it mean to be completely, entirely dependent on God?  What does it mean to have placed your full trust in Him? In order for one to place ALL their trust in God, is to completely submit to His control. This is perhaps one of the hardest things to do as a Christian, is to relinquish all ideas of what ought to happen or what we think is best. And yet, it is a command. For a child of God to live a victorious Christian life, we must live a life of complete dependence and trust in God.  I would like to talk a little bit about trust. We understand the concept of dependence being that one is entirely in need of something or someone else. Trusting goes a step further. This concept is most easily seen in sign language actually. The sign for trust uses both hands and grabs ahold of something one cannot see. Ones dominant hand comes from the head and the other comes up and they meet in the middle. Thus illustrating that, one cannot hold onto ones understanding or capability to t...

Testing

No one prepares you for how fast life can get away from you… I guess truly no one ever could. I have been increasingly more aware of how busy I have been and how fast these last few months have flown by. The last month in particular, October, has just about given me whiplash. If you follow me on social media perhaps you have seen some of my travels, I have been in MD, NH, NM and PA just in the last three weeks and am getting ready to go back to MD for a few days. November does look a little bit more tame for me though. I am in my last conference of this year but have single meetings up until the end of February. God has continued to bless my ministry with prayer partners, financial partners and a full schedule. All three are equally important in this ministry of deputation in which I currently serve and I have been so blessed! As I have been traveling, I am just beginning to learn several things about myself. Things that, if left unchecked, could have detrimental effects on my ...

Travel travel

Michigan Ohio Pennsylvania Rhode Island  Massachusetts New York Maine Colorado New Hampshire New Jersey Deleware and back to Maryland. Yep, those are the states I have been in since the last time I hopped on here. I have thoroughly enjoyed all my travels and all of the people I have been able to meet! God has been so good these first two months of deputation, and I am so excited to see him continue to work. I just arrived back to my parents house in Maryland and am looking forward to taking a few weeks to just relax a little bit and help them with their missions conference this weekend.  Over the last few weeks I have had the opportunity to be a part of 4 missions conferences, and attend 6 different churches! I have loved getting to meet so many people and make friends all over the country. I am currently at 7% support and am anticipating a little more to come in soon as well. The Lord truly is blessing and I am so excited to be along for this ride.  Thank you all s...
