Testing
No one prepares you for how fast life can get away from you… I guess truly no one ever could. I have been increasingly more aware of how busy I have been and how fast these last few months have flown by. The last month in particular, October, has just about given me whiplash. If you follow me on social media perhaps you have seen some of my travels, I have been in MD, NH, NM and PA just in the last three weeks and am getting ready to go back to MD for a few days. November does look a little bit more tame for me though. I am in my last conference of this year but have single meetings up until the end of February. God has continued to bless my ministry with prayer partners, financial partners and a full schedule. All three are equally important in this ministry of deputation in which I currently serve and I have been so blessed!
As I have been traveling, I am just beginning to learn several things about myself. Things that, if left unchecked, could have detrimental effects on my future ministry. I am not going to go into details, but the last few weeks, God has really done some work in my heart and life. He has taught me some painful, but necessary lessons. My resolve, my focus and my love for the Lord have all been tested. God has asked me to take inventory of myself and prove to Him and myself where my direction and passions lie. I trust the Lord is using this time in my life to grow and strengthen me as a Christian and faithful servant.
If you are in this sort of battle, you can’t see what is coming at you, you feel lost and confused, dont give up! God has the answer, just keep walking forward. Take the next step in faith, He has your future in His hand. If you are being asked to make a sacrifice, do so with joy! Sometimes its easier to make the sacrifice than it is to go back to your life afterwards, but trust that if God demands a sacrifice from you, that He is holding something better just a little ways ahead of you. It’s so hard, but be patient. Learn to trust Him while you wait. No matter what it is that you are learning right now. Know that God is in control. He has the answers to every question you have. And even when you feel the most alone, remember that He is with you. That feels so cliche to say, but truly, if you long for Gods presence, He will show it to you. Check your priorities, check your faith and check your heart. If God is testing and trying you, know it is because He longs to see you come forth as gold.
Thank you for keeping up with me!
