Fully Trusting

What does it mean to be completely, entirely dependent on God? 

What does it mean to have placed your full trust in Him?

In order for one to place ALL their trust in God, is to completely submit to His control. This is perhaps one of the hardest things to do as a Christian, is to relinquish all ideas of what ought to happen or what we think is best. And yet, it is a command. For a child of God to live a victorious Christian life, we must live a life of complete dependence and trust in God. 

I would like to talk a little bit about trust. We understand the concept of dependence being that one is entirely in need of something or someone else. Trusting goes a step further. This concept is most easily seen in sign language actually. The sign for trust uses both hands and grabs ahold of something one cannot see. Ones dominant hand comes from the head and the other comes up and they meet in the middle. Thus illustrating that, one cannot hold onto ones understanding or capability to trust fully. One must let go of everything they can see and everything tangible and grab ahold of God with everything they have. 

You cannot continue to try and 'think your way out' if you are trusting. You cannot continue trying to 'make it work' if you are trusting. Trusting is letting go of everything you are holding onto and replacing it will just God. 

'Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not to thine own understanding, in all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy paths.' -Pr. 3:5-6

Full trust is a prerequisite to God directing your life. How much have you relinquished to his control? What parts are you trying to figure out on your own? Give Him control, a life of sweet peace and blessing is waiting on the other side.
