Brazil!!

I hope I never get over how incredible my journey as a missionary has been. The Lord has done some incredible things for me before deputation and even while traveling.

This last week I had the opportunity to attend BIMI’s South America Field Conference.  What a tremendous encouragement it was for me to be around so many faithful missionaries serving the Lord here in SA. Many of the missionaries present, I had heard named before but had not been privileged to meet yet. What a blessing to put some faces and relationships behind the names! BIMI South America is truly a family and I am so excited to be a part of it.

This week I had the wonderful opportunity to be one of the interpreters for the conference. There were a couple of deaf missionaries present whom I got to meet and get to know this week. It was such a special blessing to me to interpret for the Deaf while in the country. I got just a small glimpse of what my life may look like one day. I also got to spend time with several missionaries here in Brazil serving the Deaf. It was so neat to sit and talk with them, bounce ideas off of them and just fellowship with other people doing exactly what I have been called to do.

One of the things the Lord really emphasized to me this week was the fact that I am not alone. Honestly, something I have been struggling with since starting deputation has been feeling, not just lonely, although that is part of it, but alone. Feeling like I am the only one doing what I am doing. This week the Lord reminded me that I am joining a faithful team of laborers. It was so encouraging to get a small glimpse of that.

Thank you all so much for your prayers! I can’t wait to share more of what the Lord is doing!
