The Lord is Good!
Hello!
It has been several weeks since I made time to write and I’m sorry about that. I have been super busy these last several weeks getting things prepared for my trip and making phone calls. I have nearly everything that I will need for my upcoming trip. I am currently collecting items, toothbrushes, toothpaste, multivitamins and reading glasses to take down with me. My home church has been awesome helping me get several of these things together. We can never have too many though and if you would like to donate something to this, please let me know. I leave on July 25, its crazy to think how fast it is coming up!
The Lord has been blessing! I have been able to nearly fill my schedule from now until the end of October, and begin scheduling meetings for next year already. I will be in three missions conferences this fall, and have scheduled 2 for next year, as well as several other meetings. God is so good! I know that on my own I would never have been able to get these meetings. In several cases, the pastor sought me out, I never made contact. That’s not to say I haven’t been busy doing so, I have contacted nearly 500 churches and pastors in these few weeks, and plan to contact several hundred more before this is all over, but is so neat to see how God is working behind the scenes.
Today at church, we celebrated Christmas in July! I have never seen such a thing before and was very excited to participate. The whole church got dressed up in Christmas Garb ready to sing Christmas carols and qualify for our costume contests. It was so much fun! Take a look at the video posted on Facebook to see how everyone was dressed!
This morning I had the opportunity to teach a junior Sunday school class of 4-11 year olds. It has been a while since I was able to teach a children's group and I was excited to do so. I taught a lesson on what we can give to Jesus at Christmas, or any time of year: our hearts. I gave a clear presentation of the gospel in my lesson and afterward I had 4 children raise their hands that they wanted to accept Christ. What a blessing to see the Lord work in the hearts of these young people!
The Lord is working, even in my time of preparation. Please continue to pray for me as I see the devil fighting everything I am working towards. Pray for safety on this upcoming trip, not only for me but for all involved and pray that the Lord would work in the hearts and lives of those we minster to.
Thank you so much for your prayers and support! I know the Lord will bless you for it!
