Progress!

Hello from Northern VA!
It has been so nice to spend a few weeks here in my home area. I haven't spent much time up here just because I’ve had meetings all over the place, but its been nice to see them and be in familiar territory.
I got the news that our container has gone out! It is so exciting to think that all of my things will soon be in Brazil and I will be following shortly!

In the last few weeks I have seen a small jump in my support, putting me up at 60%! I am super excited to see the progress as I continue to pray and make preparations for a move in November.

Last week I had the opportunity to go on a hike up in Front Royal, VA. It was a hike I had read up on some and I was super excited to have the time to go. I checked the weather, it was supposed to be a warm, sunny 75 degrees all day, perfect hiking weather. It was about a 4 mile round trip hike, so not too long. I got to the site and parked Ray about 130 pm. It was a pretty intense hike, pretty steep all the way up the mountain. It was a very rocky and somewhat treacherous pathway. But it was warm and sunny, and I loved being outside.  I got all the way up to the top of the mountain, about .3 mi away from the summit, when it started to pour. The rain and lightning and thunder completely surrounded me, leaving me up on this

mountain, alone and soaked. I tried my best to continue to the summit so I could see the view I had worked so hard to get to, but between the rain and the rocks, it was just too dangerous for me to try to keep going, besides, as hard as it was raining, i probably wouldn’t have been able to see much anyway. So, instead, I txted my mom where I was and what was happening, and made my way back down safely.
On the way down, I began to think about how life can sometimes be that way. I had made the entire trip, I had done all the necessary prep and research, just to get to the end and have to turn around without what I had gone there for. We don’t know what the future holds, but that is not a reason to stop following God. He knows where He is going, it simply up to us to decide to follow Him and allow Him to take us where He wills.
Maybe this is a cruddy analogy, I am not saying that God stranded me on a mountain lol. Just food for thought, we can do all of the research and preparation, but ultimately only God knows how our lives are going to turn out. All we can do is trust and follow Him.

Thank you for keeping up with me! ( I know its been a while)
