Rays adventure

Well we are late again lol,  I am trying my best I promise!  These last few weeks have had me running busy all over the place. I have a short 10 day break from traveling this week and next before I take off again, and I am enjoying the slower pace.  The story I have been needing to put up here actually happened a week ago. When I got a flat tire. Some parts of it are super dramatic but it does get resolved pretty well, cause God is cool like that.  Last week I was staying with some friends in Indiana. They own a campground so it was a super fun week. I got to help them butcher some chickens, and cut grass and just do a bunch of stuff that I enjoy. Last Tuesday night, I was running out to the store at about 830 pm, when my low tire pressure light went off on my car. I have had a bad sensor so initially I thought nothing of it, other than being irritated since I thought I had fixed the problem already. Anyway, I got where I was going and decided to check all my t...

Grace

The grace of God has always been a somewhat abstract idea to me throughout my life. In high school and even somewhat in college, it was something I heard people talk about but never remember experiencing. It just wasn’t something ever on my radar. I remember in college praying for peace about things, and praying for specific things, but never asking for grace. My prayers have changed.       As we grow, physically, emotionally and spiritually, we need new things. Physically, we outgrow clothes, we come to need different foods, etc (1 Cor. 13:11) ; Emotionally we find we need support, from friends and family; and spiritually,  we grow into new needs as well. And perhaps not so much that the need for them is new, as much as the realization of it. As I grow, and strive to become more like Christ, I am incredibly more aware of my failings and of just how far I am from the mark, I am more and more aware of my need for His mercy, strength and...

Sunflowers and Tires

What a crazy whirlwind the last few weeks have been, especially this last week. After I landed in Baltimore last Friday night, I started driving out to Indiana for my first run of meetings. I arrived in town Saturday afternoon after driving through most of the night after pulling over to sleep for a few hours.      To be quite transparent with you, I was pretty nervous for my first conference and official deputation meeting. Even though I know I am prepared, I know the burden the Lord has given me and I know that what I’m doing is right, I still felt somewhat anxious to actually get started. Yet, this conference could not have been more perfect to put my nerves at ease. The Lord used it to concrete even more so in my mind how much He is involved in this journey I have started for His glory. I have two specific examples of things that happened this week that I would like to share. Neither is more important to me than the other, they were both immensely ...

What an absolutely amazing trip! The people I had the opportunity to meet, the memories we made and the impact that was made… God truly worked through every aspect of this trip. Everyone involved was used in a mighty way. I want to give a short rundown of the trip and what was done:   Monday—— I left MD to meet up with the group in Miami. Most of the group came from the states and that was our main meeting spot. From there the group flew out to Bogota, Colombia, but not without two members nearly missing their flight and literally running through the whole airport to make it! Two in our group did miss their flight and ended up coming later. The rest of us took a short flight to Bogota and then got a hotel for the night.  Tuesday——— The team got up and made it to the airport by around 9am. We had nearly 30 bags to check between all of us, and it took us nearly 3 hours to get them all checked correctly, and even then we had a bag FULL of hand tools that was accidentally...
