A Goodly Heritage

Hello friends!       I hope you have all had as amazing of a week as I have had! As I mentioned last week, this week was spring break, so I took the opportunity to travel back to Maryland and spend the week with my parents. We had such a great time, took a day trip to DC( I hadn’t realized the cherry blossom festival was this week, double bonus!), got my senior pictures done, and even spent a day just baking.       Being able to spend this week home, with my parents, really got me thinking about my upbringing and just how blessed I was to have been born into a Godly, Christian home. Both my mom and dad are such strong Christians, who put everything they had into their family. Doing their best to raise us to love the Lord and to want to serve Him.       This week, I specifically wanted to talk about my dad and just how much he means to me. His birthday was on Saturday and we were able to celebrate before we took off to com...

He daily loads me with blessings

Hello!  Forgive the late post, I spent all of Friday traveling, making my way home to Maryland to spend spring break with my parents. It was about a 10 hour drive. I left right after school ended at noon and I made pretty good time, getting in about 10pm. I always love cross country driving, and, while Indiana to Maryland is not quite cross country, the long drives always prove to lift my spirits. It was surprising to me, as I pulled out of my parking lot and started making my way over here, to find that I was a little heartsick to leave. The Lord has really knit my heart to my students and church family there in Berne and I think it will be a tearful goodbye when the day comes.  The church has been such a huge blessing to me during this season of life, not only in helping fix my vehicle, though that is no small thing, but also during my stay, they have spared no cost to make me feel welcome and at home. I was honestly a little nervous to move out there at first, not kno...

How great is our GOD!

Happy Friday! It has been a crazy week around here at school filled with coffee, plants and gorgeous sunrises. I feel like the weeks are flying by. Spring break is right around the corner, and I cannot wait! I will have the opportunity to drive home for the week and spend some time with my family. I am kinda hoping that gas goes down a little bit before then though lol.       National plant day is Saturday 3/12! Take this opportunity to get yourself a new houseplant, I know I am going to. In honor of the holiday, we are going to plant carrots after class in Kindergarten. I love plants if you can’t tell yet.       This week the Lord was working on my heart about my situation and how I was approaching some things I am working through right now. I wrote the following in my journal on Thursday and I wanted to share it with you. I know this is different than my previous blog posts, but I thought...

Survey trip

Hello! After a great week in school it is Friday again! Friday is a half day here in Berne, so the kids always enjoy it, (teachers too lol). This week I planted Sunflowers with the kids and we were able to watch them start to grow. The kids loved it so much!  Also this week, I was able to open my managed missions account for my upcoming missions trip. As some of you may know, I had the opportunity to go on the Medical mission trip held by BIMI twice in my teen years. This year, I am  planning on attending again the last week of July. While I am down in Brazil, I will also be conducting my Survey trip, getting some practical information such as, where I will live, shop, etc.  The cost needed for the organized trip is about $1,700, but because I will be down there longer, I am trying to raise about $2,500. This should help cover traveling expenses, food and things like that while I am in Brazil. I have complete faith that God is going to provide this seemingly huge cost tha...
